Staff to support
Children are regularly exposed to the idea of well-managed risky activities. They learn to manage their own safety in a well-planned environment, which grows and changes based on the interests of each child who is cared for here.

STEM at the Maples
Science often goes hand in hand with curiosity, wonder and awe.
The children at the Maples have recently shown great interest in STEM activities, and this video demonstrates the level of sustained interest by introducing new experiments into the environment.

Children have optional recycled shirts rather than plastic aprons to protect their clothes in our nursery.
Children will never have their play stopped in order to get dressed/ undressed for messy play, as for some children this is a huge deterrent. We therefore offer the option, not instruction, to cover up!
