Nursery Practitioner Roles
The role of the Nursery Practitioner is to ensure that all children attending The Elms receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects and components of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This role will entail light domestic duties as and when required in the playrooms.
Nursery Deputy Manager
Do you want to take your early years career to the next level? We’re looking for a Nursery Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day operation of The Elms Day Nursery. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our children receive the highest level of care and managing the nursery in the manager’s absence. You’ll also help to encourage great teamwork within the team, build strong relationships with parents, and ensure that all nursery policies and procedures are adhered to.
Nursery Support Operative
Would you like to nurture the next generation? We have four vacancies for Nursery Support Operatives on a fixed-term basis (up to six months). In this role, you’ll provide care for children aged 0-5 and work closely with our nursery practitioners to plan and prepare engaging activities for every child. You’ll also be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of our playrooms and equipment, and for supervising children at mealtimes and on class outings.
Nursery Kitchen Assistant
We’re looking for someone with experience of working in a busy kitchen environment to join our award-winning team. As our Nursery Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support our Kitchen Coordinator in preparing and delivering meals for up to 114 children each day. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining high levels of hygiene and safety in our kitchen, attending to the laundry, and undertaking the role of the Kitchen Coordinator in their absence.
The Oaks Day Nursery
Early Years Teacher
As an early years teacher, you’ll play an integral role in nurturing children to reach their full potential.
Working with The Oaks’ nursery manager, you’ll oversee the nursery’s curriculum, inspire staff to be the best they can be in their roles, and find imaginative and innovative ways to use resources. You’ll be responsible for providing high quality care to all children in The Oaks’ care and creating rich and stimulating play experiences for them, all in a safe and secure environment.
This is part-time, fixed-term post for 12 months.
The Maples Day Nursery
A number of Nursery Practitioner part-time and full-time vacancies are available at The Maples. We are a friendly and supportive team, working together to provide quality childcare and a stimulating environment. The Maples is curiosity led and its practices places sustainability at its heart, making it a fulfilling and unique setting to work in.
You’ll have a Level 3 childcare and education or equivalent qualification, experience in a similar setting, and be comfortable with working flexible hours. Contracts are available for both 25 and 36 hours per week.
