The Elms is ‘Good’

We’re proud to announce that The Elms Day Nursery has retained its ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted.

Inspectors praised the team’s ‘insightful leaders’, strong parent partnerships, and effective support for children with special education needs and/or disabilities.

Staff were also praised for being ‘caring and nurturing’; ‘making the whole family feel welcome and valued’; encouraging children to be self-sufficient; and for proving a range of experiences for children to get stuck into.

Highlights included:

  • Singing time where ‘children smile and sway with delight’ while listening to their favourite songs.
  • Outdoor experiences at Forest School, where children are supervised to take appropriate risks.
  • Dance and sports groups that help children ‘gain a wealth of knowledge about the world around them’.

Selina Hunt, Nursery Manager, said: ‘We are extremely proud to have maintained our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating. This is testament to every single member of The Elms family who goes above and beyond to provide fantastic experiences for our children every day. We would also like to thank our families for all your support; The Elms wouldn’t be what it is today without you all.’
